At a time when OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to release a compact handset, named "OnePlus Mini," for the first time, a new leak has given away details about the device's configuration, price and release date.

GForGames, citing an anonymous but credible source, said that the OnePlus Mini will reportedly flaunt a pocket-friendly 5.0-inch IPS display, bundled with 1080p screen resolution and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the handset will be powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 MT6795T chip, running at 2.2 GHz. This chipset will work in tandem with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and backed by 2 GB of RAM.

When it comes to memory specification, the OnePlus Mini will apparently come equipped with 32 GB of built-in storage space with expandable memory option. A 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit with Sony IMX258 sensor, 4K video recording, dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture are believed to be part of the OnePlus Mini specifications.

To top it off, a generous 5-megapixel selfie clicker has also been reported. The secondary shooter sports a wide-angle lens and hence, "groufies" or "group selfies" can also be taken without the need for a selfie stick, GSM Arena reported.

Apart from the standard connectivity options, the OnePlus Mini will reportedly support NFC, IR Blaster and USB Type-C port. Plus, the battery unit is expected to be between 3,000 and 3,100 mAh unit and the now-ubiquitous quick charging support will also be part of the phone.

The icing on the cake, however, is the presence of a fingerprint sensor and IP 67 certification for water and dust proofing. The device will also feature an FM Radio, complete with a 1.2W front-facing speaker. As with other OnePlus handsets, this compact device will also come with a plastic body.

As far as OnePlus Mini price is concerned, the smartphone will reportedly set the buyers back by roughly $250. The release date of the device is believed to be in November or December 2015, according to GForGames.
