Prince George is growing up fast. Ahead of the December holidays, the Clarence House has released three new photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son.

The images show the 1-year-old prince and third in line to the British throne sitting on the steps of his home, Kensington Palace in London, and smiling while sporting rosy cheeks. The Daily Mail reports that the portraits were taken by a former photographer and current member of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s staff late last month.

George is said to be wearing a rather affordable outfit in the photos. According to the Telegraph, his Cath Kidston sleeveless jumper, which has designs of British guardsmen, costs $26.29. Following the example of his fashion-forward mother, whose wardrobe pieces sell out in stores moments after she gives them her stamp of approval, the jumper has already sold out online.

Since the portraits release Saturday evening on the Clarence House’s official Twitter page, the photos have already caused quite a buzz. As of Sunday morning, the announcement had received more than 9.3K retweets and 13K favorites on Twitter.

The world last got a glimpse of the young prince when he posed for potraits at the butterflies exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London ahead of his first birthday, July 22. Prince William and Kate Middleton were in two of the portraits. One of the images showed George taking a few of his first steps without mom and dad.

Multiple photos of Prince George were released in April when he accompanied his parents on his first royal tour to Australia and New Zealand. He appeared at various functions during the 19-day trip, including a visit to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and a playdate at the Government House in Wellington, New Zealand.

Prince George did not attend the Duke and Duchess’ three-day trip to New York City earlier this month. He reportedly stayed at home in London due to his parents’ packed schedule.

Come this spring, Prince George will no longer be the baby of the royal family. Prince William and Kate are due to welcome their second child in April.
