In an effort to reach a new audience, The New York Times will create content for a new television series on NYC life, one of the city's NYC Media television stations. NYC life can be viewed on channel 25 in New York City.

The half-hour show, dubbed NYTV, will air Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. with the first show scheduled for May 23. The network also plans on making the series available online at nyc.gov/vod.

New Yorkers can now add TV to the many ways they enjoy award-winning videos from NYTimes.com. The series offers curated videos from The Times in an engaging new format on NYC life, said Gerald Marzorati, assistant managing editor of The New York Times, in a statement.

NYTV will feature videos created by reporters and columnists from The New York Times, including Bill Cunningham, Frank Bruni, Ariel Kaminer, A.O. Scott and Christopher Gray who are slated to appear in different segments of the show.
