Lauren Conrad is kicking off New York Fashion Week with her very own runway show Wednesday night. The former MTV star-turned-fashionista and designer will make her NYFW debut by showcasing her upcoming, limited-edition collection for Kohl’s.

In behind-the-scenes YouTube videos leading up to the runway show, Conrad and her design team explained that the inspiration behind the LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection was “folklore and fantasy of fall.” As expected, the clothes will mimic Conrad’s personal style. The 35-piece collection will feature intricate designs, delicate details, light colors and girly accessories.

According to E! Online, the collection will include blouses, high-wasted pants, handbags, and eveningwear. Prices range from as low as $12 to $200, and will be available for purchase immediately after the show.

“The exciting thing about this collection is it’s just really an elevated version of this brand,” Conrad said in one of her YouTube videos. “We were able to take chances we wouldn’t normally take. And I think that what we did in this collection is we took rustic boho pieces and we paired them with polished, refined pieces. It’s beautiful and romantic, but it’s still tailored and pulled together.”

The 29-year-old continued, “We like to have fun with clothes. You don’t want them too serious, but you also don’t want them so silly you can’t wear them every day.” As far as putting together the runway show, the former “Hills” star described the experience as a “giant puzzle.”

“You get to dictate a completed look on a runway, so everything from her hair to her makeup to her nail polish to the rings she’s wearing to the bag she paired it with,” Conrad said in another video. The LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection fashion show will start at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Click HERE to watch.
