Hues of grey and pink, tints of blue and shades of black gowns and dresses of novel designs dominated Oscar de la Renta's display during the New York Fashion Week on Valentine's Day.

The awe-inspiring creations of the high fashion designer presented at the Fall/Winter 2012 collection show Tuesday seemed perfectly in time before the forthcoming 84th Academy Awards, when fashion on the red carpet will be closely watched.

The annual Oscar awards, eventually, also turns into a fashion conglomerate with the actresses flaunting their one of best fashion moments every year, as they walk down the red carpet in various designer gowns.

The jaw-dropping collection of Oscar de la Renta showcased recently at the New York Fashion Week has surely made fashionistas look forward to this year's red carpet fashion during the Oscar awards night Feb. 26, with many believing that the creation is worth donning for Academy Award arrivals.
