New Zealand's current account deficit widened to NZ$3524 billion during the fourth quarter of last year, compared to the previous deficit of NZ$1770 billion in the quarter of July to September, which was revised to NZ$-0.029 billion, while the market's anticipations referred to NZ$-2200 billion.

On the other hand, the account deficit-GDP ratio declined to -2.3% in 4th quarter, compared with a previous -3.1% that revised to -2.2%, where the expectations estimated of -2.5%.
