Retail sales in New Zealand rose 0.5% in March following a decline by 0.6%, and it came below analysts' estimates of 1.1%. Retails ales excluding auto sales rose 1.1% compared with a previous -0.9%, but it missed market projections of 1.5%.

On the other hand, retail sales excluding inflation inclined 0.2% in the first three months of this year compared with a prior 1.0%, while analysts' estimates referred to 0.3%.
