The New Zealand trade balance surplus widened to NZ$464 million during the month of March, compared with a previous surplus NZ$194 million in February, which was revised to NZ$193 million, while analyst's forecasts referred to NZ$200 million.

The New Zealand's exports accelerated to NZ$4.53 billion from the prior increase NZ$3.87 billion, where the analyst's expectations referred to NZ$3.65 billion.

Moreover, New Zealand's imports rose to NZ$4.07 billion in March, compared with a previous NZ$3.68 billion in February that revised to NZ$3.67 billion, while analyst's expectations estimated of NZ$3.90 billion.
