New Zealand's trade balance surplus retreated to NZ$605 million during the month of May, from NZ$1113 million in April that revised to NZ$1148 million, while expectations were referring to a surplus of NZ$1000 million.

New Zealand's exports increased to NZ$4.626 billion in May from NZ$4.651 billion during the month of April, which was revised to NZ$4.678 billion, while the analyst's expectations estimated of NZ$4.725 billion.

Moreover, New Zealand's imports jumped to NZ$4.021 billion in May, compared with a previous NZ$3.538 billion that revised to NZ$3.530 billion, while analyst's expectations indicated to NZ$3.750 billion.
