New Zealand's trade balance surplus retreated to NZ$230 million during the month of June, from NZ$605 million in May that revised to NZ$552 million, while expectations were referring to a surplus of NZ$400 million.

While the annualized trade balance during the 12 months ended June retreated to NZ$1021 million, from NZ$1067 a year earlier, which was revised to NZ$1012 million, whereas the analysts estimae3d of NZ$1289 million.

New Zealand's exports slid to NZ$3.97 billion in June from NZ$4.63 billion during the month of May, revised to NZ$4.62 billion, while the analyst's expectations estimated of NZ$4.30 billion.

Moreover, New Zealand's imports jumped to NZ$3.74 billion in June, compared with a previous NZ$4.02 billion that revised to NZ$4.07 billion, while analyst's expectations indicated to NZ$3.80 billion.
