New Zealand's trade balance deficit came in at NZ$487 million in October compared with a previous NZ$424 million that was revised to a deficit of NZ$563 million, while forecasts referred to NZ$480 million. The nation's imports recorded NZ$3.45 billion from a previous revised NZ$3.39 billion from NZ$3.25 billion, and it came less than the forecasted NZ$3.60 billion.

As for New Zealand's exports, it recorded NZ$2.97 billion in October compared with NZ$2.83 billion in September, while analyst's estimates referred to NZ$3.14 billion.
