New Zealand trade balance surplus widened to NZ$321 million in February compared with a previous surplus of NZ$269 million, but it came less than analysts' estimates of NZ$433 million. Imports recorded NZ$3.00 billion last month compared with a revised NZ$2.89 billion from NZ$2.88 billion in January, while forecasts referred to NZ$2.93 billion.

On the other hand, exports showed improvements in the February recording NZ$3.32 billion from NZ$3.15 billion, but it missed market forecasts of NZ$3.47 billion.
