New Zealand trade balance deficit narrowed in September recording NZ$424 million in September compared with a previous revised deficit of NZ$719 million from NZ$725 million, and it came better than the anticipated deficit of NZ$681 million.

Imports fell recording NZ$3.25 billion compared with NZ$3.47 billion that was revised to NZ$3.46 billion, while it came lower the forecasts that referred to NZ$3.50 billion. As for exports, it came in at NZ$2.83 billion meeting analyst's expectations from NZ$2.74 billion in August.
