New Zealand trade balance deficit widened in August recording NZ$725 million compared with a prior revised NZ$175 million from NZ$163 million, while it came worse than the forecasted deficit of NZ$329 million.

Exports dropped in August recording NZ$2.71 billion compared with NZ$3.18 billion in July, while it was forecasted to reach NZ$3.10 billion. As for imports, it gained reached NZ$3.47 billion coming after NZ$3.34 billion in July, and it came more than the expected NZ$3.45 billion.
