Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Property Trust reported net income in the third quarter of $14.5 million, down from $22.7 million in the same period in 2010.
The average price of residential properties in Australian capital cities fell 1.2% in the third quarter of 2011 compared with the previous quarter, the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show.
There have been significant increases in London rents over the past two years, with Knight Frank figures indicating that since 2009, the price of renting a home in the capital has increased by 27 per cent.
