As of Tuesday, the Google Play store has begun accepting online orders for its Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 devices. The online store had completely sold out of the Nexus 4 and the 32GB Nexus 10 in the UK with minutes, and US customers were able to place their orders beginning 12 pm EST.

The Nexus 4 appeared to be just as popular in America, as it sold out almost immediately in the US, while the Nexus 10 remains in stock. Both capacities of the Nexus 4 are labeled with a “Coming soon” status.

US Prices

In the US, Google’s Nexus 4 costs $299 for the 8GB variant and $349 for the 16GB edition. The Nexus 10 will be priced at $399 for its 16GB and $499 for the 32GB.

Both devices are promised to arrive in three to five business days, according to the Google Play Store.

UK And Australian Prices

Shoppers in the UK had the option of choosing either 8GB or 16GB variants of the Nexus 4, which were priced at £239 and £279 respectively. Australian customers can snag the new handset for A$349 for the 8GB and A$399 for the 16GB edition.

As for Samsung’s new tablet, UK buyers will pay £319 for the 16GB model and £389 for the 32GB variant. Australians can purchase the Nexus 10 tab for A$469 or A$569.

European Prices

Other stores across Europe also went live as of Tuesday morning, such as Germany, France and Spain, with the 8GB and 16GB versions of the Nexus 4 priced at €299 and €349 respectively. The 16GB edition of the Nexus 10 donned a price tag of €399 while the 32GB cost €499.

Where To Order

To order either device, simply head over to the Google Play Store and hover the mouse over the “Shop” section in the left hand corner. When the dropdown menu appears, choose the “Shop Devices” category and customers will be redirected to Google’s product pages. The Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be the first devices to appear on the page.

Online mega-retailer Amazon.com has not yet advertised the Nexus 4 or the Nexus 10, although it currently carries the Nexus 7.

Nexus 4: A Rundown of the Specs And Features

The Nexus 4 boasts a 4.7-inch display with a 1280 x 768 resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chip and weighs in at 139 grams.

The new Android-powered phone comes equipped with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. It features 8GB or 16GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. The Nexus 4 also includes a micro USB slot for charging, a SlimPort HDMI jack, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Near Field Communication, wireless charging, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also compatible.

The Nexus 4 will be the first smartphone to come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box. This is the most recent iteration of Android’s mobile operating system, which will see its debut with these new Nexus-branded devices.

Nexus 10: A Rundown of the Specs and Features

The new Google-branded tablet comes equipped with a 10.055-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. It is powered by an Exynos 5 Dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU and a Mali-T604 GPU. The Nexus 10 weighs in at 603 grams and features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera.

Like the Nexus 4, the Nexus 10 will come with Near Field Communication, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth. Users can purchase the tablet in either 16GB or 32GB format, with 2GB of RAM available.

The Nexus 10 comes with a micro USB slot, a Magnetic Pogo Pin charger, a Micro HDMI jack and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It also comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box. Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, which was unveiled in June, was also the first tablet to feature the Android 4.1 operating system upon its release.
