NFL Draft Order 2012 Released: Jets Get 10 Picks, Giants Get Eight

The 2012 NFL Draft is now less than a month away.

The much-asked question has become: Whom will the Colts take with their No. 1 overall pick -- Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III? While Luck has been deemed by some as a once-in-a-generation quarterback, others point out that Griffin is more of a complete player with arm strength, arm accuracy, running speed and agility and a magnetic personality.

Both the Colts and Redskins, who have the No. 2 overall pick, need a franchise quarterback to get a strong leg up for many seasons to come, and both Luck and Griffin seem to have tremendous upside. However, while Luck seems like the prototypical winner or the next Peyton Manning, Colts owner Jim Irsay said he isn't a sure thing at No. 1 overall, which shows that Griffin has really made an impact.

From a New York vantage, the Jets are stacked with picks, 10 in all, while the Super Bowl champion Giants have eight. Of the Jets' 10, four are compensatory, and of the Giants' eight, one is compensatory.

The biggest needs for the Jets may be at wide receiver and defensive end, while the Giants might need a young offensive lineman to keep Eli Manning protected.
