The 2014 NFL season is near its midway point, as many teams make their second-half push for a berth in the postseason. The Week 8 schedule includes some very interesting matchups, include a Thursday evening game with major postseason implications. The Denver Broncos (5-1) host the San Diego Chargers (5-2) which could will decide which team has sole possession of first place in the AFC West.

The Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks will also be playing a crucial game when they travel Charlotte to face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Both teams are looking to bounce back from Week 7 losses, but the Seahawks’ struggles have been perhaps the most surprising story of the 2014 season.
However, the most anticipated matchup in Week 8 might be the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals. Both NFC teams have a 5-1 record.
