Television personality Nick Cannon might have made a big mistake when he dissed Beyonce on his BET show “Wild n Out” on Tuesday night. On the sketch comedy show, Mariah Carey’s recent lip-syncing controversy was brought up. It was speculated that the 43-year-old diva lip-synced her latest hit song “Beautiful” when performing at the 2013 BET Awards June 30 alongside singer Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy. She was also accused on Twitter for lip-syncing during a performance on "American Idol" earlier this year.
Cannon, Carey’s husband, jokingly said, "You gone come out with the microphone singing live, hitting high notes ....You could've just lip-synch that s--t like Beyoncé did at the inauguration!" Beyonce fans were not pleased with the 32-year-old actor’s comment, though Beyonce, 31, later admitted to lip-syncing the Presidential Inauguration which took place in February.
Still, people immediately took to Twitter to defend Beyonce, primarily by making fun of Cannon, Carey, and their twins, Monroe and Moroccan. One even posted the number of the MTV manager who is in charge of the show so people could call him in outrage.
Cannon has not yet commented on the remarks.
