Nick Viall finally committed to love in Season 21 of “The Bachelor,” proposing to Vanessa Grimaldi. The Canadian teacher may have a ring on her finger, but she and her fiancé are in no rush to head down the aisle.

Nick, who is currently competing on “Dancing With the Stars," told Us Weekly it’s “too early” to think about marriage. Instead, he and Vanessa are focusing on growing together. Nick said they’re enjoying the many firsts they’re experiencing together and look forward to their future.

“We’re very open about the fact that we have a long way to go, and we’re excited about that journey,” Nick told Us.

Marriage may be temporarily off the table, but the couple are reaching new milestones all the time. Nick revealed to Us that he and Vanessa finally decided where they’ll live. The pair compromised and agreed Los Angeles is the best place for them.

“She’s living with me,” he shared. “But obviously we’re still working through the visa stuff so she may have to pop back to Montreal at some point. While we’re in L.A., we’re living together.”

The latest “The Bachelor” couple’s unconventional approach to marriage will likely fuel rumors they’re not compatible. Fans have been questioning Nick and Vanessa’s relationship since their first appearance together on “After the Final Rose.” The pair lacked the intense chemistry viewers saw on “The Bachelor,” but claimed they had nothing to prove.

Regardless, Vanessa has been enjoying her time in California, focusing on supporting Nick on “DWTS.” During Week 1 she sat in the audience, cheering her man on. In Week 2, viewers saw her in the behind-the-scenes package critiquing Nick’s form and helping him get the moves right.

If Nick hopes to stay on “DWTS” he’ll have to focus more on practice and less on jet setting with Vanessa. The pair spent the weekend together while other teams worked on their Week 2 routines. They flew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to visit with Nick’s family for a few days.

Neither Nick nor Vanessa have given any indication of when they plan to get serious about marriage. For now, viewers can enjoy glimpses at their relationship on ABC’s DWTS Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT.
