The 30-second clip shows Minaj in a bed full of roses that lack color, until she pricks her finger on a thorn. Suddenly, she turns gold and the roses turn a bright shade of pink, the rapper’s favorite color.
Minaj described the scent by saying that “Pink Friday is a celebration of my life at this moment; it is a reflection of me as a creator, and an expression of me as a woman.
"I know my Barbz will connect with and appreciate each aspect—from the name, to the outrageous bottle design, to the vibrant colors that create their own song.”
In September, Minaj took to twitter to show off her Pink Friday campaign ad, which shows her dressed all in pink, including wig. In the background is the New York skyline.
The bottle is shown in the bottom right of the ad. It is shaped like -- who else? -- Nicki Minaj. It is gold-plated with Minaj's pink hair, bangs included, and a white bustier, along with a "Nicki Minaj" necklace.
"I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances; this is yet another extension of my creative expression and I can't wait to share it with the world. I designed this scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind," Minaj stated in a press release.
She tweeted that the perfume smells "like angels playing."
Minaj will be at Macy’s Queens Center in Queens, N.Y., on Nov. 20 to greet 200 fans and sign autographs.
