Is Nicki Minaj Throwing Shade At Ex-Boyfriend Safaree Samuels? ‘Feeling Myself’ Rapper Posts To Instagram About ‘Ungrateful People’

Is Nicki Minaj taking a jab at her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels?

The “Pink Print” rapper shared a meme on Instagram about dealing with “ungrateful” people. The photo’s text reads: “Never help an ungrateful person get on their feet. It’s like telling a wolf that you’re a sheep.”

Even though the meme may have just been something that Minaj wanted to share with her fans and was not intended for anyone in particular, it is worth noting that in a new Instagram post, Samuels appeared to be hinting at people who did not want him to succeed as a solo artist.

Accompanying the video where he implores people to vote, Samuels said in the caption: “They did everything to get ppl not to eff w/ me and be forgotten.. And I never let the miserable opps get the best of me… i just saw this commercial on TV and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Yea i know im on TV everyday but to be on a voting commercial is a wakeup call.. That none of you weak minded jealous imdividuals can stop Gods plan.. NO handouts.. I had more ppl against me than i Did for me!! I wanna thank every1 who was and is for me! And to the ones who were against me in the words of myself.. GO SUCKK YUH MUDDA [sic]”

Things have been tense between the former lovers since their split. Most recently, Samuels took a jab at Minaj by saying that he should thank Meek Mill for breaking them up. Answering a post made by rapper The Game about Mill causing Samuels and Minaj’s breakup, Samuels said: “Honestly I should thank him.”

Despite seemingly throwing shade at her ex, Samuels had said in an appearance on “VH1 Live” that he no longer holds ill feelings toward Minaj. He also said that he’s willing to be friends with Minaj and her boyfriend so long as Minaj lowers her pride.

Samuels and Minaj were together for 12 years. They called it quits in 2014.
