Nicki Minaj's wax figure is reportedly being removed from Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. The statue's creators modeled the figure of the rapper, which was unveiled on Aug. 4, after a look from her "Anaconda" music video. The figure sparked much controversy and, after being violated on several occasions by museumgoers, it appears Madame Tussauds has decided to take action.

Saint Heron reported on Tuesday that the figure will be removed from the museum. The site claims that prior to having the statue uninstalled, Madam Tussauds attempted to step up security, ensuring visitors could not come in contact with their creation. It appears, however, that it wasn't enough. They have since decided to take "immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again."

Unfortunately, Madame Tussauds was warned that this may happen. Controversial female emcee Azealia Banks sounded off about their decision to pose Minaj, 32, in such a provocative way on Twitter. The "212" rapper shared with followers that she felt it was racist of them to have Minaj's statue posing on her hands and knees, writing, "white people yo." She went on to say that, given Minaj's long list of accolades, it would have made more sense for them to pose her standing up with a microphone in her hand. In addition she feared the posing of Minaj's figure invited viewers to grope it and take photos "shoving their crotch in her face."

Minaj has yet to speak out about the museum's decision to remove the statue. It remains unclear how they plan to pose the new figure, but we would venture to guess it will be far less sexy than their initial attempt.
