Nigerian conglomerate UAC said on Monday its pre-tax profit slipped six percent to 6.6 billion naira ($44 million)in the first nine months of the year.

The company, whose interests range from real estate to food products, said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange that its turnover rose to 41.98 billion naira in the period from 39.34 billion a year earlier.
