HELSINKI - Top cellphone maker Nokia said on Friday it had bought assets in U.S. based social media firm Plum Ventures Inc, but did not disclose the value of the deal.

Nokia said in a statement acquired assets would strengthen its social location services.

It said the privately held Plum, which develops media sharing and messaging services, employed 10 persons and had offices in Boston and San Fransisco.
