Nokia Lumia 900, which won The Best Smartphone of 2012 title at the Consumer Electronics Show, is expected to be released very soon. The phone, with its head-turning looks and stunning features, has already generated great amount of interest among smartphone lovers.

In its flagship Windows phone Lumia 900, Nokia is offering some exciting apps, some of which are even exclusive!

Exclusive App Offered in Lumia 900

1.       ESPN & CNN App

Keeping in mind the need of news junkies and sports-freaks, Nokia Lumia will sport an exclusive CNN and ESPN app. The ESPN sports hub will be pre-loaded on Lumia 900 and will provide a one-stop sports application for news, videos and scores. The CNN app, on the other hand, will provide the latest news and videos from CNN around the globe and direct access to iReport, CNN's participatory news community.

Both these apps will be exclusive to Nokia users for 90 days.

2.       Univision App

In addition to ESPN and CNN, Nokia Lumia 900 will have another exclusive app - the Univision App. This app will target the Spanish users living in the U.S. It will be exclusive for Lumia users in the U.S. and Puerto Rico for 18 months. Univision will deliver Spanish-language content, including entertainment, sports, news, cooking for different U.S. markets.

Nokia's First Location Based App

1.       Nokia City Lens

Nokia has tweaked the Local Scout app that is already present in the Windows 7 Operating System. City Lens is based upon the Augmented Reality app that lets the user find out all the places around. City Lens combines map and Points-of-Interest (POI) data with what is seen in the camera's viewfinder to show nearby places and their directions.  

Once you find the place you wanted to, City Lens app, just like Local Scout, will give you contact details and reviews about the place.

2.       Nokia Transport

Nokia Transport, the latest app, will give the users options to select from and to points and then works out the best way to get from A to B.

The Transport app gives a schedule to travel with bus and train timings.

The app also supports about 400+ cities and 50 different languages. It will be available soon at the Windows Phone marketplace.

3.       Nokia Drive

The Nokia Drive app provides free voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation with a dedicated in-car user interface that turns the Nokia Lumia 900 into a GPS navigation device.

New Gaming Apps

1.       EA's Exclusive 20 Gaming Apps

Nokia's partnership with Electronic Arts proved to be great news for the mobile gamers as they now will get exclusive access to 20 of the world's most popular games which are coming first to Nokia Lumia devices. The list will include Real Racing 2, Mirror's Edge, Monopoly, Parking Mania, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Vampire Rush and more!

2.       Xbox Companion

The Xbox Companion is already present in the Lumia 710 and 800 models. With this app, however, the Lumia 900 users will enjoy full control of their Xbox consoles directly from the smartphone touch screen display. The company promises an enhanced gaming experience like never before. With Xbox Companion, the users will have easy access to their favorite movies, music and games.
