One of the most talked about entertainment items over the weekend was the photo of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West that appeared on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue. Many commenters, in particular “Shahs of Sunset” star Reza Farahan, didn’t think the reality star and rapper were worthy of gracing the cover of the high-fashion magazine.
While it took Kardashian 33 years to grace the pages of Vogue, it only took the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutBaby nine months. Little North West arguably stole the spotlight from her engaged parents when she made a naked cameo in the fashion magazine in its April 2014 issue, which is due out on March 31.
Vogue editor and writer Hamish Bowles described little Nori as "pretty” and noted that she"inherited her father's furrowed, quizzical brow." Bowles referred to Kimye's child as the "focus of all this attention" in the article.
"I take pictures of her all the time and dress her up," Kardashian told the fashion mag about her baby girl. "I put Kanye's big chains around her, and I put a little Louis bag and some Jordans, and I was like, 'What up, Daddy?'"
But not everyone was smitten with the family’s appearance in Vogue. Farahan told TMZ that it was “some desperate sh*t.” In fact, he believes the 36-year-old rapper paid Wintour so he could get his fiancée on the cover. He believes that if it weren’t for West, Kardashian would have never made it onto the cover of Vogue.
“She had to have him standing behind her to get on that cover,” he said. “I think Kanye paid for that cover” because “Anna Wintour would never.”
He added that someone who sells her collection at Sears would not normally appear on the cover of Vogue. “That’s a legit fashion magazine and this [explicit] is selling her sh*t at Sears,” he explained. “She made a sex tape and she sells Kardashian Kollection she does not belong on Vogue.”
