RTTNews - Tuesday, the Statistics Norway said the retail sales volume rose a seasonally adjusted 0.9% in May from the previous month. Economists were looking for a decline of 0.2%.

Year-on-year, retail sales volume declined an unadjusted 1.8% in May. Economists expected the retail sales volume to fall 3.2%.

Meanwhile, retail sales value, excluding petrol stations rose 0.7% annually in May.

For the January to May period, retail sales volume dropped 0.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
