The Norwegian krone staged a steep slide against its U.S. counterpart around 9:00 am Eastern Time, following the Norway's central bank decided to slash interest rate by 50 bps to 2 percent. The krone slumped to a 6-day low of 6.4662 against the dollar by 9:00 am, compared to yesterday's North American session closing value of 6.3773. Currently, the pair is trading at 6.46 with 6.6 seen as the next target level.
