An inter-city tour bus traveling from a casino in Connecticut to New York City overturned on Saturday killing 13 people, according to reports.

The bus, operated by World Wide Bus, crashed into a metal traffic sign post, shearing part of the roof from the rest of the bus. Many were hospitalized. Reports differed in noting the total passengers aboard, with 31 and 32 being the most common.

The incident took place at 5:37 a.m. alongside the Hutchison River Parkway near Exit 13, the New York Post reported.

People were crying. People were screaming ... I saw a lot of death, said a survivor who gave his name as Victor, according to the Post.

The bus was traveling from the Mohegan Sun Casino.
