Resorts World Casino New York, the company that is renovating the Aqueduct racino in South Ozone Park, Queens, opened an onsite employment center on Monday. The center will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for anyone who is interested in learning about job openings and submitting an application.

According to the New York Daily News, nearly 500 people visited the job center on Monday. Michael Speller, the company's president, told the Daily News he expects most of the 1,150 permanent jobs to be filled by local residents.
