A 45-year-old man was shot three times and beaten on a New York City street early Tuesday morning, and a surveillance video captured the whole incident the .

The New York Police Department is still searching in the Upper West Side area for the two suspects who chased the man to the intersection of 88th Street and Amsterdam Avenue around 1 a.m. Tuesday, NBC New York reported. The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot twice in the upper body and once in the thigh.

Following the shooting, the victim hailed a cab to a local hospital.

News accounts differ as to the man’s condition. NBC New York is reporting that the victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover, but ABC New York reports the man is in critical condition at St. Luke’s Hospital.

The surveillance video of the shooting was captured on a security camera mounted on a nearby deli.
