The White House doors were opened on Friday for private talks between the US President Barack Obama and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the border conflict between Israel and Palestinians.
It was an hour-and-a-half meeting, almost twice as long as planned. The leaders shaked hands and smiled for the cameras but the question remained whether it would work to usher in a new period of peace and prosperity.
