Obama Pardons Two Turkeys from Thanksgiving Day Feast [Photos]

U.S. President Barack Obama has pardoned two turkeys, saving them from becoming a part of the traditional Thanksgiving Day feast at the White House.

A day before the holiday, Obama spared the two 19-week-old, 20 kg birds, named Liberty and Peace.

Obama, who was accompanied by daughters Sasha and Malia, said that Liberty and Peace had the distinction of being the luckiest birds on earth.
