A Chrysler 300C once used by President Barack Obama is for sale on eBay with the opening bid of $1 million.

Listing the car on eBay and the starting bid is Lisa Czibor, who says she is listing the car for another party and has no personal stake in the sale apart from monetary gain. The opening bid is dictated by the seller, indicating that bidding for the car must start at that price.

The vehicle was driven from 2004 to 2007 by then-Illinois senator Obama. He put about 19,000 miles on it during that time. When he traded it in for a more fuel efficient Ford Escape, a seller listed the vehicle on eBay with a starting price of $100,000.

It failed to sell. But three years and 1,800 additional miles later, the seller has decided to try again with a higher price tag

The eBay listing provides a few examples of other cars that have sold for surprising amounts, though. A Peugeot once owned by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sold for $2.4 million. A 1999 Volkswagen Golf once owned by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI, was sold for $244,000.

A presidential parade limousine used by Franklin Roosevelt, a Cadillac V-16 convertible, was recently auctioned off at an RM Auctions sale in Arizona for $270,000.
