The Obamas struck a festive note with celebrities including Jennifer Hudson, Victoria Justice and pop sensation Justin Bieber at the Christmas in Washington concert.

Hosted by Conan O'Brien, the 30th annual concert was held at Washington's National Building Museum Sunday night, in support of the Children's National Medical Center. President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle, daughters Sasha and Malia, and mother-in-law Marian Robinson attended the event, Associated Press reported.

Obama spoke briefly about Jesus' birth, highlighting the basic values of generosity, compassion and faithfulness.

Those are values that are shared by all faiths. So tonight let us all rededicate ourselves to each other, and in that spirit, from my family to yours: Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America, the president.

Shortly before the concert, the Obamas presented a basket of books to patients of the children's medical center, who were dressed adorably as elves.

Other entertainers included the United States Naval Academy Glee Club, Washington Youth Choir, United States Army Band Herald Trumpets, Ian Fraser and the Christmas in Washington Orchestra.

The concert concluded with the first family gathering with the performers to sing Hark The Herald Angels Sing.

The concert will air Friday on American TV channel TNT.
