Police said the family likely drowned as water filled up the vehicle through a broken window. A fisherman spotted the upside-down car, which led to the discovery of the dead bodies.

The bodies were discovered when a family member arrived at the house to check in on her mother. It is believed the bodies were lying dead in the house for a few days.
The woman's son said a medical examiner handed him his mother's death certificate. The family then held a vigil for her within a few hours. "After about five hours of the wake, the coffin started to make sounds," the son said.
"She randomly left with the baby, no shoes that we know of, grabbed her bag, left her phone, and we weren't able to find her at any of the places she likes to go to," the mother's friend told police.
