Once Upon A Time
Elsa's history in Arendelle will be explored in the Season 4 premiere of "Once Upon a Time." Episode 1 will air on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 28. ABC

Are you ready to re-enter Storybrooke? The “Once Upon a Time” Season 4 premiere is only a few weeks, and viewers definitely won’t want to miss it. ABC has released the synopsis for episode 1, “A Tale of Two Sisters,” and it’s jam-packed with magical drama, new faces and old fan favorites.

The Season 3 finale of “Once Upon a Time” concluded with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) returning to Storybrooke from the Enchanted Forest of the past and accidentally bringing an urn from Rumpelstiltskin’s (Robert Carlyle) dungeon. While Emma and Hook celebrated their return in Granny’s Diner, the urn spilled open to reveal Disney’s Elsa (Georgina Haig) … the Snow Queen from Arendelle.

As “Oncers” already know, “Frozen” character’s Elsa, Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) will be making their way on screen in the new season – but how will they fit in with the other fairytale characters? The synopsis teases that it’s definitely going to be a struggle.

Elsa’s confusion and fear of arriving in a new land will lead her to create a “powerful snow monster for protection.” Viewers will have to wait and see how Emma, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and the others react to Elsa and her snow monster, but that won’t be the only “Frozen” tale to be featured in the Season 4 premiere. The synopsis also reveals that “Once Upon a Time” will travel to Arendelle of the past to expose how Elsa ended up in Rumpelstitlskin’s dungeon … and subsequently in Storybrooke. It’s in Arendelle of the past that fans will meet Elsa’s sister, Anna, who “wants to complete their parent’s fateful journey and discover if their quest may have held the secret to containing Elsa’s out of control ice powers.”

Meanwhile, Regina (Lana Parrilla) will begin to question her relationship with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) with the arrival of Marian (Christie Laing). Will the pair stick together? Or will the return of Robin Hood’s dead wife mean the end of Regina’s happily-ever-after?

“Once Upon a Time” viewers can look forward to welcoming back Sidney aka Regina’s Magic Mirror (Giancarlo Esposito) in episode 1; and “Frozen” lovers will be happy to see the Grand Pabbie (voiced by John Ryhs-Davies) make his way to the small screen.

“Once Upon a Time” Season 4 will premiere on ABC on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. EDT. What do you think of the synopsis? What drama are you excited to see unfold? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
