The cast and crew of “Once Upon a Time” are making some steady progress on Season 4. Co-creator Adam Horowitz took to Twitter on July 30 to reveal that filming for the ABC drama has already reached episode 3.

“Here’s another #OnceUponATime #titlespoiler,” Horowitz tweeted. “Hope to see you this fall.”

Accompanying Horowitz’s tweet was a photo of the script for episode 3. The name for the episode is “Rocky Road,” and was written by David H. Goodman and Jerome Schwartz. No other scoop on the episode was revealed, but if it’s anything related to the ice cream flavor (chocolate ice cream with nuts and marshmallows) then we are completely on board.

Unfortunately it doesn’t sound like “Once Upon a Time” fans are in for a sweet treat in episode 3. Based off of some previously released spoilers, it sounds more likely that “Rocky Road” will be referring to tough times ahead for our favorite characters.

During the Season 3 finale Emma had accidentally brought a piece of the Enchanted Forest past to Storybrooke – Maid Marian, the dead wife of Robin Hood. While Emma thought she was doing the right thing by not altering the past, her actions ruined Regina’s current relationship with Robin Hood. Needless to say, Regina was not happy. Emma felt extremely guilty, however Regina didn’t care – the feud between the two women was once again reignited.

That’s not going to be the only issue with some of the returning “Once Upon a Time” characters. The honeymoon will be over for Belle and Rumple when Season 4 kicks off. Fans will remember that Rumple lied about Zelena’s death to his bride, but in usual “OUAT” fashion, his secret won’t stay buried.

“It’s probably not going to be easy for him,” Horowitz told TV Guide following the Season 3 finale. “Those were genuine vows and he loves Belle, but he’s got his own weaknesses that he has to fight.”

On top of all that drama continuing from Season 3, viewers also have to worry about new villains swooping in to ruin the happily-ever-after’s of the Storybrooke residents. The synopsis for Season 4 teases that the fairy tale characters must “prepare to defend themselves against a magical force from the past that’s too dark and unpredictable even for Rumplestiltskin – The Ice Queen.” No details on the Ice Queen have been released, but fans are speculating that “Lost” alum Elizabeth Mitchell will be tackling the mysterious role.

“Once Upon a Time” returns to ABC for its fourth season on Sunday, Sept. 28. The premiere episode is titled “A Tale of Two Sisters.” The following episode, “White Out,” will air Oct. 5.
