“Once Upon a Time” has found its Snow Queen. After weeks of fan speculation, the ABC drama has finally announced that is has cast the role of Elsa for its season 4 “Frozen” crossover.

TV Line is reporting that the lucky lady to land the coveted role is “Fringe” alum Georgina Haig. Haig’s character, Elsa, was made famous in Disney’s 2013 animated movie, “Frozen.” A beautiful princess from Arendelle, Elsa struggled with the power to create snow, ice and frost. Ultimately Elsa was good, however her inability to control her magic lead her to accidentally hurt her sister, Anna, and cast an eternal winter upon her beloved city. Elsa fled Arendelle, leading Anna to embark on a journey to find her beloved sister and end the eternal winter.

Georgina Haig, 28, is an Australian actress who first got her start appearing in Aussie TV shows and movies like “Road Kill” and “The Elephant Princess.” In 2012 she landed the guest role of Henrietta “Etta” Bishop on “Fringe,” her first major part in the United States. She can be seen this summer on CBS’ new crime drama, “Reckless,” as disgraced Charleston cop Lee Anne Marcus.

Haig’s casting as Elsa comes a few days after two other “Frozen” characters were cast for Season 4 of “Once Upon a Time.” Newcomer Elizabeth Lail will be tackling the role of Anna, “a fun-loving, fearless optimist who often gets herself into situations where she is over her head.” Meanwhile “Greek” alum and current “Chasing Life” star Scott Michael Foster will be playing Kristoff, Anna’s love interest in the beloved Disney movie. Kristoff’s “OUAT” version is said to display a “sometimes-gruff demeanor” to hide his feelings for the Arendelle sisters. TV Line reports that the ABC drama will introduce him while he’s adjusting to life at the castle – something that’s definitely going to be a struggle since he’s used to sleeping outdoors.
