ONE Bio Corp. announced yesterday that their subsidiary, Green Planet Bioengineering, Co., Ltd. through their Chinese operating unit, was granted the designation of high-tech enterprise by the Fujian provincial High-tech Department.

ONE Bio, Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Marius Silvasan, stated, “Obtaining the high-tech designation in China is a great achievement for our Company both in terms of customer and general market recognition as well as for financial benefits.”

Mr. Silvasan added, “We drive innovation through our in-house R&D team. Our team’s research has allowed us to file patents related to various extraction processes that we utilize today throughout our operations. This IP technology has allowed us to be at the forefront of our industry and yield a high gross profit margin on the sale of our raw extracts.”

The honor received by ONE Bio, Corp. is a statement that they have achieved national level recognition as a high-tech enterprise, providing them the ability to receive a 10 percent tax relief benefit starting in the second quarter of 2011. The Company will also benefit from additional tax subsidies related to the production and sale of medicinal plants and agricultural products. These include sarcandra glabra, polygonum cuspidatum, reishi mushroom, and others that are some of the Company’s highly sought-after products.

The high-tech designation is good for three years once obtained. It will reduce the tax rate of ONE Bio Corp. starting in the second quarter, which will increase the Company’s net income for every dollar of pre-tax profit earned by the Company.
