One Direction finally let fans in on the details of their upcoming tour and album.

The British boy band announced the dates and locations for their 2014 "Where We Are Tour" at a news conference held at Wembley Stadium. The band also provided details on their new album, the Telegraph reports.

Niall Horan seemed to be the most excited to break the news.

On Twitter he wrote:

"Who's excited today? Coz when my alarm went off, I jumped out of bed like it was Christmas Day as an 8 yr old! Cannot wait t tell everyone."

"Here we go! Today is the big day! Cannot wait! #onebigannouncement," he added.

The hysteria online crashed the band’s website, onebigannouncement.com, due to the high volume of traffic, the Telegraph reports.

One Direction told the media that their new album will be “rockier” and “edgier” than their current songs. They say they’ve written a lot of the songs themselves.

The first leg of their world tour kicks off in Bogotá, Colombia on April 25, 2014 with 13 concerts that end at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 7, 2014; however, it looks like there will be more tour dates coming.

“So excited about having announced the first legs of the stadium tour. So looking forward to announcing more dates soon!!!!!!!” Horan tweeted to fans on Thursday.
