This One Direction Madison Square Garden online live stream will let you watch along at home as 1D rock MSG Monday night in New York City.
One Direction, the mega-popular boy band that have swept the world with their boyish good looks and fun music, are hitting the Garden Monday night, and a U-Stream channel has been set up for a live stream of all the action.
It's impossible to verify whether or not the U-Stream will actually provide a stream of the MSG show, but the channel has become popular via Twitter and other social media in advance of the concert.
One Direction will take the stage at Madison Square Garden in NYC at 7:30 p.m. EST on Monday to the delight of the band's legions of worldwide fans, who have made 1D an international sensation.
This isn't the band's first time playing New York, as they played as recently there as May 26, when they rocked the Beacon Theatre. But it's their first time at the Garden, and the show sold out weeks ahead of time, according to EntertainmentWise.com.
Niall Horan, a member of One Direction and beloved young heartthrob, seems very excited about the performance, judging by the following two tweets, which EntertainmentWise.com reports he sent out on Sunday:
""I'm goin to sleep a happy man! We are playing Madison Square garden tomorrow night! #1DinMSG @thegarden," he tweeted. "Lying in my bed , cannot sleep ! Madison square garden is like 15 hours away! A performers dream coming to life #1DinMSG."
The Twitter hashtag #1DinMSG has been created to help people keep track of posts on the topic of Monday night's concert.
The Garden's website offers the following information about the show and about One Direction themselves:
"Due to the overwhelming popular demand, pop sensation One Direction are set to headline the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 3, 2012!
"One Direction are Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. All of the group hail from the UK, except for Horan, who is from Ireland. All five of the boys (ages 18-20) auditioned for the UK's "X Factor" in 2010 as solo artists.
"However, at the suggestion of Simon Cowell, they joined forces as a group, quickly becoming one of the competitions most popular acts of all time, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic fan-base along the way."
Tickets for the show sold for between $34.50 and $84.50, and the Examiner reports that the audience is expected to include celebrities, including singer Taylor Swift, 22, who is dating 18-year-old One Direction member Harry Styles.
Fans of 1D -- who call themselves Directioners -- from all across the New York region will be flocking to MSG to watch their favorite band hit the stage. You can tune into this livestream to do the same if you can't make it to NYC for the real thing.
