The recently launched OnePlus 3 was reported to come as two variants namely Graphite and Soft Gold. However, the OnePlus website has listed only the Graphite variant for purchase.

Noting this, a fan of OnePlus reportedly asked Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, about the availability of the much-preferred Soft Gold version of the OnePlus 3 via a tweet. Pei apparently replied back stating that the Gold variant will hit the store shelves sometime in the “later part of July.”

The Graphite version of the OnePlus 3 comes with a gray aluminum back panel complete with a black front. The Soft Gold version, on the other hand, will reportedly feature a lighter gold back panel combined with a white front side, GSM Arena reported.

Speaking of price, the OnePlus 3 can be purchased via the official OnePlus website for $400. The good news is OnePlus has removed the infamous invitation-only purchase model.

The OnePlus 3 features a 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED display, aided by the standard 1080p screen resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 CPU, which powers most of the flagship devices released this year like the LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Mi 5 and HTC 10.

Unlike any other flagship device, in OnePlus 3, the hardware components are backed by a 6GB of RAM configuration. Even though there is no microSD card slot, the OnePlus 3 comes housed with a good 64GB of native storage space.

A good enough 3,000 mAh battery cell helps keep the lights on with Dash Charge support in tow. Camera-wise, there is a 16-megapixel rear-facing sensor, in addition to an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats.

The OnePlus 3 comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner for authentication. Apart from the standard connectivity options, it also supports NFC and LTE.
