OnePlus One is going to receive an OxygenOS Android 5.1 firmware upgrade after the launch of OnePlus 2. OnePlus

The OnePlus One smartphone will be replaced soon a successor model called OnePlus Two or OnePlus 2, says OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, who has been talking about the upcoming device with fans on Weibo, the popular Chinese social networking site. Giz China reports that Lau has revealed that the OnePlus Two will arrive in the third quarter of this year. It will be a high-end device as Lau has also mentioned that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset.

The Snapdragon 810 made news earlier this year because of an overheating issue. But instead of waiting for the successor to the Snapdragon 810 chip, Lau has decided to use the existing chip so the OnePlus Two can roll out with an affordable price, Phone Arena reports. Lau said it will be priced at 2,499.99 yuan (about $402).

Giz China reported that the OnePlus Two is expected to house a 5.5-inch or 6-inch display protected with 2.5D glass. It will be supporting a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Snapdragon 810 chipset will be complemented by 3 GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature a fingerprint sensor. However, OnePlus has not confirmed these specs.

In a recent Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Lau assured fans that the OnePlus Two will roll out with marvelous specs. He even added that the device will take on some of the most powerful flagships of 2015, such as the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and the upcoming iPhone.

According to Droid Pile, OnePlus is also working on another device called the OnePlus One Lite, but Lau has not revealed anything about it yet. However, reports say it will be a lighter version of the 2015 flagship and will be affordable. It is also expected to be released by year's end.
