Lindsay Lohan has already begun making plans for her post-rehab comeback. The troubled actress has signed on for an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey to air in August on the media mogul’s OWN, according to EW.com. Lohan will also participate in an eight-part reality-television series chronicling her road to recovery on the same cable network.

“OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August, and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014,” an OWN representative told EW.com.

In March, Lohan was sentenced to 30 days of community service, 90 days in a lockdown rehabilitation center and 18 months of mandated psychotherapy after she pleaded no contest to a couple of misdemeanor charges associated with her involvement in a car accident in June of last year. She is expected to be out of rehab July 31.

In an interview with Piers Morgan published in the Daily Mail, Lohan described her feelings about rehab. “I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times,” she said. “I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time.”

When Morgan asked about her then-impending 90-day stint in rehab, she appeared to soften her stance. “I look at it as a good thing,” Lohan said. “I can come back afterwards and be fully focused on work. But I think there are other things I could do instead of going to a rehab center that would benefit me more. The best thing they could do for me would be to make me go abroad to different countries and work with children.”

OWN is starting to pick up steam in the ratings after a rough start out of the gate. As EW.com pointed out, Oprah has conducted a string of high-profile interviews in recent months, including Lance Armstrong’s doping confession, Rihanna’s discussion of her relationship with Chris Brown and Whitney Houston’s family after the singer’s death.

A post-rehab interview and reality-TV series with Lohan will undoubtedly boost ratings even more for the cable network.
