On Monday, Oracle unveiled its new Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) version 9.3 that helps Mitigate Risk, Reduce Costs and Increase User Productivity.

The new PLM version 9.3 allows the enterprise to analyze the risk within its IT assets while also offering a variety of management tools such as New User Interface Controls, Enhanced User Personalization, Simplified Access, and User Training Management, designed to improve both data quality and governance across systems.

According to Oracle Vice President, PLM Product Strategy Hardeep Gulati, the new application version has become a highly strategic tool, and added that through this the company extends its lead in delivering Enterprise-class PLM by giving organizations more out-of-the- box processes to support their corporate initiatives within the framework of a scalable, enterprise PLM backbone.

Through the new software version, user saves up to 70 percent reduction in clicks. PLM 9.3 improves user productivity by leveraging a Web 2.0 User Interface. New productivity improvements include: Drag and Drop, Inline table editing, multiple BOM windows, user personalization and on-line help and training.

The enhancement in PLM 9.3 also include less product and supply risk through Identifying high-risk suppliers and make better supply chain management decisions. It can also be integrate with other applications because of its complete service-oriented architecture (SOA) that allows user to integrate its components into existing engineering and enterprise systems.
