Orange Is The New Black Season 3 spoilers
Why won't Pornstache be returning to Season 3 of "Orange is the New Black"? Netflix/Jill Greenberg

Sorry, Pornstache fans, but we’ve got some bad news for you. According to “Orange is the New Black” actor Pablo Schreiber (who played the man we all loved to hate), George Mendez will not be returning for Season 3 of the hit Netflix series.

We’ll wait so you can gather your thoughts.

Originally it was reported that our favorite Litchfield prison guard would appear only briefly in Season 3 due to his new HBO acting gig.

"I'm a series regular now on a show called 'The Brink' on HBO,” he previously said of his new TV endeavor. “But his mother is making an appearance on Season 3. Mary Steenburgen has been cast as my mom. I'm not sure what she'll do that will advance the Pornstache plotline, but for now, Mendez is in prison, biding his time. Spoiler alert!"

But now Daya’s fake-baby daddy has revealed that fans shouldn’t hold their breath if they’re waiting to see Portstache sporting stripes.

"I was never a series regular on ‘Orange Is The New Black.’ I was always a guest star," he explained to Zap2It. "The role that I have on ‘The Brink’ is a starring role, and it's a no-brainer. Absolutely, I chose to jump on board with that show. It was a better move for me as an actor."

Schreiber said “The Brink” is a half-hour comedy that stars Jack Black, Tim Robbins and himself.

“I’m really excited about it,” he gushed.

But don’t worry, “OITNB” fans. We did find sort of a silver lining. Schreiber teased that although we won’t be seeing his glorious, stach-ified face in Season 3, we may reunite with the corrections officer-turned-prisoner somewhere down the line.

“While Season 3 is out of the picture, beyond that is open. I'm not a part of the third season, but going forward after that, we just don't know," he said. "I would go anywhere that [Jenji Kohan's] working, and I know that our paths will cross again soon, whether it's on 'Orange' or on a future project."
