An Oregon man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot another man whom he accused of stealing Christmas presents, the Portland Police Department announced Monday.

Martin Luther Hartley, 44, allegedly shot 31-year-old Keytar Plaza Donesouda inside a Portland home Sunday night over a dispute involving stolen Christmas presents, police said.

Donesouda suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police. It was unclear where the 31-year-old was shot on his body.

Hartley was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault, possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

Donesouda’s girlfriend, 33-year-old Xaykham Chanthavong, was also arrested on charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Portland police alleged that she took her boyfriend to the hospital in a stolen truck.
