Oregon is a significant favorite over Ohio State in the 2015 College Football National Championship, with the point spread at 6.5 points and the over/under at 75.5 points. In addition to the final margin of victory and total points scored, bettors can also wager various prop bets.

Some of the potential bets are rather frivolous, such as the winner of the coin flip or which team will receive the opening kickoff or second-half kickoff. Other prop bets have focused on the action of the game, as online sports books and Las Vegas casinos have set betting lines for different events in the game and individual player performances.

How will Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota perform? Will Ezekiel Elliott play as well as he did in the Sugar Bowl?

There are prop bets regarding Mariota’s production as a passer and a rusher. The quarterback has been extremely efficient this season, never failing to throw for two touchdowns in game, while completing at least 25 passes just twice. Mariota has totaled 731 yards on the ground, rushing for more than 60 yards in six games.

Elliott was the biggest star of Ohio State’s upset win over Alabama, rushing 20 times for 230 yards. His production has increased in each of the last four games, in which he’s averaging 169.5 rushing yards per contest. Elliott has rushed for at least 121 yards in six of his last nine games, and the running back has never failed to reach the century mark when getting at least 20 carries.

Cardale Jones might be the game’s biggest X-factor, considering he’s making just his third start at Ohio State. The quarterback has completed 12 passes for 257 yards and 18 passes for 243 yards in two games. While he’s attempted 25 rushes, he’s only totaled 52 yards on the ground.

There should be plenty of scoring on Monday considering the matchup features the No.2 and No.5 offenses in the country. Oregon has scored at least 42 points in all but two games, including a streak of nine consecutive contests, though the Buckeyes haven’t allowed more than 37 points in a single game. Ohio State has scored at least 34 points on 11 different occasions, but the Ducks surrendered that many points just once in 2014.
